Before soap was introduced oil cleansing was a popular method to cleanse the skin. Our skin’s outer layer consists of 60% fatty acid lipids (oils). For centuries oils were applied, in a good measure, to the skin and the excess scraped of together with dirt and dead skin cells. This process caused hardened oils to be dissolved and replaced with new oils and the skin is refreshed.
Take a break from a long day with our proprietary Orange Oil Essential Blend:
A 2014 study shows that ‘olfactory stimulation orange oil induced: (1) a significant decrease in oxyhemoglobin concentration in the right prefrontal cortex and (2) an increase in “comfortable,” “relaxed,” and “natural” feelings.
These findings indicate that olfactory stimulation by orange oil induces physiological and psychological relaxation.’

Dermatologists Recommends Oil Cleansers!“Cleansing oils contain hydrating and soothing ingredients that may actually be more effective and less irritating than some traditional cleansers,” Joshua Zeichner, M.D., a New York City–based board-certified dermatologist and director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.Contrary to what you may think, Dr. Zeichner says cleansing oils won’t leave your skin greasy or heavy.“Oil absorbs oil, which means that these products can effectively remove dirt from and leave the skin clean,” he says. But as Dr. Zeichner points out, all oils aren’t created equally: “There’s a big difference between applying a cosmetically formulated cleansing oil versus rubbing canola from your kitchen onto your skin.”Source: SELF
